After retiring from the United States Army in 2004 (with 26 years) I wanted a "change of pace". How do I take my passion for skin care, a chemistry background, and the desire to make people feel better, and turn it into a new career? Well, to start, I became a licensed esthetician and continued my education to become a certified massage therapist. Throughout the years I have attended numerous courses taught by biochemists, cosmetic chemists, and research scientists so I can make sure I am up-to-date on the latest products, techniques, and technologies. I want products and technologies that deliver results, not hype or fads that can be found within this multi-billion dollar industry.
I wanted to create an experience where people could relax, feel pampered and not rushed. I didn't want an "assembly line" spa. I wanted to spend quality time with my clients by listening to them and educating them. It was also important to create a schedule that met the busy schedules of my clients. My hours may begin at 9:00 am and end at 8:00 pm but if a client needs to see me at 8:00 am or 9:00 pm I do my best to accommodate them. In order to do that the right location and setting had to be found. Serenity at Cherokee Rose was created with you in mind. I had a portion of my home renovated in order to meet the needs and expectations of my clients. There is a Sitting, Make-up, and Consultation Area, as well as a Private Treatment Room.
